Please note: There may be a shorter route but these directions use the best roads. Directions from the Cedar Rapids area: Take Hwy. 13 north to Central City (about 15 miles north of Marion). Turn right (east) onto E-16 at Central City. Drive 5 miles until you come to a "T" intersection and turn left (north) onto E-16. Continue 2 miles until you enter Prairieburg. Turn right at the four-way stop and continue out of town for 2 miles (this road turns to gravel). At the end of two miles, you will hit Frozen Hill Road (it forms a T with the road you were just on - Prairie Main). Turn left (north) onto Frozen Hill and continue 1/2 mile to Silver Creek. Turn left on Silver Creek and we are the first house on the right. Directions from the Manchester area: Follow Hwy. 13 south through Ryan. About 4 to 5 miles south of Ryan is a big S-curve to the right. There is a light pole at the middle of this curve and you will turn left onto D-62. Continue east 3 miles to X-20. Turn right onto X-20 and proceed into Prairieburg. At the four-way stop turn left (east) and continue out of town for 2 miles (this road turns to gravel). At the end of two miles, you will hit Frozen Hill Road (it forms a T with the road you were just on - Prairie Main). Turn left (north) onto Frozen Hill and continue 1/2 mile to Silver Creek. Turn left on Silver Creek and we are the first house on the right. |
